Ruby E Tuck

Ruby E. Tuck, 99, of Green Springs and most recently of Clyde, passed away peacefully December 20, 2017 at home with her family at her side.  She was born March 2, 1918 in Green Springs the daughter of the late Clarence & Zelda (Harned) Rathbun.

Ruby retired from Eckrich after 16 years.

 She was voted Green Springs Citizen of the year in 2000.  She was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church and past president of Rodger Young V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Survivors include grandson, Charles (Amy) Gittinger of Bellevue, granddaughter, Robin (Bruce) Cisco of Saxe, VA, great-grandchildren, Heather (Wesley) Missler of Bellevue, Holly (Adam) Jones of Hillsboro, OH, Shana (Jason) Dix, Taylor (Brittany) Cisco of Sax, VA, great-great grandchildren, Jeremiah Jones, Jordyn Jones, Jaxon Jones, Jayden Jones, Olivia Dix, Alyssa Dix, Landon Cisco and special niece Kara Hetrick of Gibsonburg great nephews Aaron Hetrick of Port Clinton, Ryan Hetrick of Mt. Gilead. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gordon Tuck whom she married Aug. 27, 1934, son, Gordon “Buzzy” Tuck, Jr., daughter, Jeanne Strausbaugh and all 8 of her siblings

At Ruby’s request there will be no funeral service.  A private service will be held in celebration of her life.

She was always willing to help in any way she could.  She was a giver in life and in death by donating her body to the University of Toledo, College of Medicine.

Memorials may be made to Rodger Young VFW Auxiliary or Green Springs United Methodist Church.
