William Gahimer
Obituary
William Gahimer, 66, of Vickery passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at his home. He was born February 25, 1956 in Shelbyville, Indiana the son of George and JoAnn (Owen) Gahimer.
Bill worked as a truck driver and farmer. Farming was his true passion and something he loved to do. He also enjoyed being outdoors, shooting clays, hunting, watching NASCAR, attending scrap meets and collecting antique toy tractors. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends, and looked forward to going to breakfast on Sunday mornings with his friends and son-in-law Chad.
Bill married Cathy (Galloway) Gahimer on February 22, 1975 in Clyde, Ohio; She survives along with their children: Stacy (Chad) Cagle of Clyde, Jessica (Bill) Yeager of Cumming, Georgia, Billy Gahimer of Vickery, and Jacob Gahimer of Vickery; his mother, JoAnn Gahimer; 5 grandchildren: Cade Yeager, Cole Yeager, Rylee Cagle, Owen Gahimer and Dawson Gahimer; sisters, Kathy Jo (Larry) Myers Kvittum, Lyni (Kurt) Harms, and Sandra Gahimer; and his special group of friends, Anthony Stookey, Dave Dalton, and Jim Bard.
In addition to his father, Bill is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Gahimer and Bobby Gahimer; and father and mother-in-law, Dawson and Wilma Galloway.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on July 23, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. at the Vickery Fire Hall, 5076 County Road 247, Vickery, Ohio 43464. Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Clyde is assisting the family in arrangements.
