Virginia R. Cullen, age 88 of Clyde, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at her home. Virginia was born August 4, 1933 in Fremont, the daughter of the late Roy and Nellie (Beckley) Humberger.
Virginia was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Clyde, where she was active in their Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Clyde Garden Club. She was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker, and an avid bridge player. Virginia was a wonderful mother and a loving and compassionate mentor for her children, siblings, family, and friends. Her husband Tom said she was the happiest and most caring person he had ever met.
Virginia is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Becky) Cullen, Jennifer (Dale) Mothersbaugh, Matthew (Anita) Cullen, Mary (Shawn) Arndt, Molly (Steve) Butts, Melissa Cullen, and Steven (Heather) Cullen; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Howard Humberger, Frank Humberger, Carolyn Albright, Margaret Burns, and Marie Archer.
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cullen; son, Peter Cullen; and brothers: Donald, Robert, and James Humberger.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 609 Vine St, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Lunch to follow at the St. Mary Parish Hall.
