Ursula F. Siesel, 86, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2024, in San Diego, CA. She was born on December 10, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the oldest daughter of John and Marie Zobec.
She moved to Bellevue as a child, attended Immaculate Conception School and Bellevue High School, graduating in 1956.
On May 18, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Marvin, and began their 66+ year journey. After their honeymoon took them to the west coast, they eventually settled permanently in San Diego in 1962.
As the children came, Ursula immersed herself in their school and extracurricular activities. St John's Guild, sports team mother, fundraising volunteer; if someone asked, she said YES! A talented artist, she was tasked with decorating the galas and doing floral arrangements. She knew how to make life beautiful.
Always supporting her husband, she was an integral part of starting their business, Siesel's Old Fashioned Meats in 1968. As their children got older and the business thriving, she then took time to devote to Rady's Children's Hospital as an auxiliary member, again using her talents for fundraising events. At 86, she was still a supporting member.
A fan of all sports, she enjoyed both attending in person and cheering from her living room.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin, San Diego; daughters Michele, Trinidad, CO; Melissa (Antone) San Diego; Monica, San Diego; son Michael, Marietta, GA; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She has two sisters, Gerry Beyer (Gordon) and Bernie Richcreek, St Pete, Florida; in-laws, nieces and nephews, too numerous to name, but too important to forget.
She was preceded in death by their son, Matthew, in 1995.
