Thomas Laiban Jacobs went home to be with his Lord surrounded by his wife of sixty-seven years and family on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore, Ohio.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Mildred Jacobs; five children: Larry (Diane) Jacobs of Tiffin, Ed (Robin) Jacobs of Tiffin, Cyndi (Mike) Bucher of North Baltimore, Jane Williamson (Robert) of Cincinnati, and Jeff (Bridget) Jacobs of Wellborn, FL; fifteen grandkids; and twenty-five great grandchildren.
He was born in Leon, West Virginia to the late Golden and Osa (Pullins) Jacobs. He was the oldest of four boys. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Albert Jacobs, Valcie Jacobs, and Jim Jacobs.
Tom served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps Rifle and Pistol Team who shot competitively in world competitions. Tom is a retired Norfolk & Southern railroader of over thirty years. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was still hunting into his eighties. His greatest memories were the hunting and fishing trips to Canada and out West.
Tom enjoyed gardening and traveling the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Tom and Millie spent a lot of winters in Florida. Where he enjoyed fishing and competing in horseshoe tournaments.
Tom and Millie spent twenty plus years working and traveling with Heaven's Gate and Hells Flames Ministry.
Friends will be received Friday, November 4, 2022, from 10:00am until a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Pl, Bellevue, OH 44811. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
