Thomas Freeman, 78, of Castalia and formerly of Bellevue passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born May 8, 1945, in Bellevue, the son of Edwin and Helen (Geisler) Freeman.
Tom attended Bellevue High School and enlisted in the Army in 1964. After 3 years of service, he was honorably discharged in 1967 and returned to Bellevue. Tom worked for the Ford Motor Company in Sandusky from 1968 until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed boating, camping, and had a fond appreciation for his pet Schnauzers. Tom also held an avid interest in electronics.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Tarnowski) whom he married on August 3, 1968, at First United Methodist Church in Bellevue; two children: Darin (Cheryl) Freeman of Ottawa Hills and Connie Bailey of Columbus; 4 grandchildren: Madeline, Nolan, Lindsey, and Katelyn; and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Barb Bitounis.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at noon at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
