Susan LaFollette

Susan Catherine (Trizna) LaFollette, 73, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin Ohio. She was born on October 31, 1950 in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Gilford Trizna and the late Dorothy (Sanford) Carlson.

Sue graduated from Bellevue High School in 1969. She married David LaFollette in August 1970. She was a long-time employee of Bellevue City Schools and retired from her position as the head cook at York elementary in 2012, a position she greatly enjoyed.  She was a generous and giving individual and never let any child at her school go hungry. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Bellevue. Sue liked going to bingo with her friends, shopping at the Sandusky mall (when that was still a thing), and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed and proud of her 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband David Donald LaFollette, her son Jason (Sheri) LaFollette, her daughter Jodi (Curt) Taylor, grandchildren Kendall Morrow, Jake Taylor, Chase Taylor and Zakery Gingerich; great grandchildren Ezra Corbin, Anson Hupp, and McKinlee Gingerich; sister Cathy (Tom) Dearth and family, and brother Neil Carlson and family. 

Sue is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy (Sanford) Carlson, stepfather Ronald Carlson, and brother James Trizna.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from Noon until a memorial service begins at 2 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
