Steven Baldwin, age 71 of Bellevue, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. Steve was born April 15, 1951 in Everett, PA, the son of the late Raymond, Sr. and Dorothy (Barkey) Baldwin.
Steve proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 – 1971, during the Vietnam War. During his service he earned many military commendations including: National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter Badge, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device, and a Bronze Star Medal for Valor.
Steve worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. In his leisure time he enjoyed bass fishing and trapping.
Steve is survived by his wife, Judy (Aldrich) Baldwin of Bellevue, whom he married April 26, 2002 in Lafayette, AL; daughter, Jennifer “Nicki” (Brad) Siggers of Valley, AL; grandchildren: Michael Davis, Jr. and Logan Davis; brothers: Ray (Becky) Baldwin, Jr. of Norwalk, OH, and Bob Baldwin of Monroeville, OH; sisters: Peggy (Richard) Todd of North Port, FL, and Sue (Dew) Hardwick of North Port, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia (Walls) Baldwin.
Services and military honors for Steve will be held in Valley, AL with Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Johnson Brown Gardens.
