Sarah E. (Mowry) Strause

Sarah E. Strause, age 69 of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Bellevue Hospital. Sarah was born October 18, 1951 in Bellevue, the daughter of the late Ross and Ruth (Brandal) Mowry.

Sarah attended York School and then graduated from Bellevue High School in 1970. She served for many years as the secretary of the Bellevue Eagles Auxiliary #490.

Sarah is survived by her son, Matthew Strause of Bellevue; grandchildren: Kayla, Jadin, and Amaya; sisters: Rose Ann Missler of Wooster, and Sharon Mowry of Bellevue; sister-in-law, Joanne Brandal of Bellevue; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Lee Strause, and brother, Richard Brandal.

Friends will be received Monday, September 6, 2021 from 4-8pm with an Eagle's ceremony at 6:30pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Pl, Bellevue, OH 44811. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery.
