Sanford "Sam" Blankenship

Sanford "Sam" Blankenship, age 56 of Clyde, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home. Sam was born December 24, 1963 in Grundy, VA the son of Patricia Blankenship (Hurley) and the late Artemis Blankenship.

Sam enjoyed spending time with his daughters, grandkids, and family. He enjoyed going to church and praising the Lord. In his free time, he loved taking rides with his brother, Delbert. He enjoyed going to flea markets, the Amish Country, and anywhere looking for a good deal. Sam also enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Sam was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Sam is survived by his daughters: Jessica Blankenship of Clyde, and Ashley (Hollis) Brust of Marysville, OH; grandchildren: Braylon Blankenship, Bryanna Ortiz, Andrew Brust, Jaylyn Brust, and Tyler Brust; sister, Linda (Joe) Friend of Bellevue; brothers: Delbert Blankenship of Clyde, Martin (Lyndsay) Blankenship of Green Springs, Fonso (Wendy) Blankenship of Tiffin, David (Mary) Blankenship of Clyde, and Michael (Farrah) Blankenship of Clyde; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his father, Sam is preceded in death by his brother, George Blankenship, and nephew, Joseph Friend.

Services for Sam will be held privately.
