Ruthann Thomson, 88, of Clyde passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born July 2, 1937 in Bellevue the daughter of John and Marjorie (Drohen) Driscoll.
On October 27, 1956, Ruthann married James “Jim” Thomson in Bellevue. Jim preceded her in death in 2024.
Together, they owned and operated Limerick Sales and Thomson Builders in Clyde. They also shared a love for travel, visiting every state during one nine-week trip.
Ruthann was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in Clyde, where she was involved in weekly bingo, garage sales, and the Altar Rosary Society.
She is survived by her two daughters, Victoria Rahrig of Clyde and Tracy (Erwin) Drown of Henderson, NV; 3 grandchildren: Kory Drown, Zac Akers, and Leslie Friend; 6 great grandchildren: Bryonna Stein, Savannah Stein, Kiya Stein, Montana Stein, Jocelynn Drown, Huntington Drown; 1 great-great grandson, Abel Spires; brother-in-law, Brian (Alice) Thomson; and sister-in-laws: Carolyn Smallets and Marsha (Ray) Laurent; and special cousin, Noreen Furlong.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son Gregory Thomson; brother, John Driscoll; and brother-in-law, James Smallets.
A memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, February 13, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 609 Vine Street, Clyde. Inurnment will follow at the St. Mary’s Columbarium.
