Russell D. Pannell

Russell D. Pannell, age 88 of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. Russell was born May 29, 1931 the son of the late Clarence and Opal (McCellan) Pannell.

Russell was a member of the Fremont Church of Christ and former minister at the Clyde Church of Christ. He worked for many years at Foos Funeral Home, where he was known for his great work ethic. He enjoyed going on walks, fishing, and his building projects.

Russell is survived by his children: Rick Pannell of Fremont, Judy Kay (Chris) Gill of Florence, AL, Janet Fay (Mike) Baker of Fremont, and Janice May Lovelady of Springfield, TN; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and his siblings.

In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita “Granny” (Holt), whom he married June 26, 1953 in Indiana, and his siblings.

Friends will be received Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9:00am until a funeral service beginning at 11:00am at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy., Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
