Russell Howland, 52, of Bellevue passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 23, 1971 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Merle and Teet (Felty) Howland.
Russ was currently employed at Mitsubishi Chemical in Bellevue. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, sitting outside with a cold one listening to bluegrass which always led to a good conversation. He was an excellent cook and loved taking care of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Walters), whom he married May 15, 2006, in Bellevue; sons, Hunter Howland of Columbus; daughter, Luellyn Howland of Bellevue; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Teet Howland of Waterford, Michigan; sisters, Kimberly Hoisington of Lewiston, MI, Robin Howland of Sioux Falls, SD, and Pamela Taylor of Waterford; and his “favorite” in-laws, James R. Walters Jr.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his son, Holton Howland; nephew, Alex Howland; brother, Merle Howland Jr.; and sister, Roxanne Leyva.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 2 p.m. until a time of memories begins at 4 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A celebration of life along with burial at York Chapel will be held at a later date.
