Ronald W. Woods

Ronald W. Woods, age 81 of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at St. Anne’s Mercy Health in Toledo, OH. Ronald was born August 13, 1940, in Mt. Sterling, OH the son of Clayton and Estella “Juanita” (Casto) Woods.

Ronald was a member of Flat Rock Ebenezer United Methodist Church, the Postmark Collector Club, and the Historic Lyme Village. He proudly served in the United States Army, stationed at Ft. Hood. He worked in Farm Machinery Sales for International Harvester Tractors, and later was a grain inspector at Bunge and worked at Gibbs Equipment. Ronald enjoyed photography and opening the Postmark Museum every Wednesday to allow for tours. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Bette Woods (Swartzlander), whom he married November 3, 1984; children: Rebecca (Linda Kennedy) Woods of Columbus, OH, Jill (Dustin) Garig of Waco, TX, and Ronald K. Woods of Lima, OH; grandchildren: Carl (Brittni), Chelsea (Adam), Jasmine, and Clayton; great-grandchildren: Xander, Owen, and Adalyn; and siblings: Pete (Joyce) Woods of Oakwood, OH, Phyllis Follrod of London, OH, and Virginia (Richard) Mitchell of Columbus, OH.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Follrod, who passed on the same day.

Friends will be received Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 3-6pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Pl, Bellevue, OH 44811. A funeral service officiated by his great niece, Pastor Bailey Phillips will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 11:00am at Flat Rock Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 7500 N Seneca County Road 29, Flat Rock, OH 44828. Burial with military honors will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
