Ronald Shearn Obituary

Ronald D. Shearn, age 83 of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his home. Ronald was born July 21, 1937 in Dresden, OH the son of the late Donald T. and Opal (Kinney) Shearn.

Ronald worked at Whirlpool for 41 years until his retirement in 1999. He loved to golf, ride his motorcycle, and going to car shows.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Reed) Shearn of Clyde, whom he married February 7, 1958; children: Penny Sorg of Clyde, Ronald (Carla) Shearn, Jr. of Texas, Timmy (Rebecca) Shearn of Clyde, and Tammy (Jimmy, Sr.) McGrath of Clyde; grandchildren: Richard (Mary) Henry of Clyde, Robert Shearn of Indiana, Bradley (Emily) Shearn of Sandusky, Jimmy (Courtney) McGrath, Jr, of Clyde, Cody McGrath of Oklahoma, Gage McGrath of Beaverdam, OH, Caleb Shearn of Clyde, Corey Shearn of Clyde, and Sara Pruitt of Tennessee; 6 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Robert (Phylis) Shearn of Clyde, Ralph (Judy) Shearn of Georgia, and Bonnie Drown of Florida.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his son, Billy J. Shearn; grandson, Craig Shearn; and sisters: Evelyn Cortines and Donna Gibson.

Services for Ronald will be held privately. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
