Roberta Dianne (Varnes) Wilhelm

Roberta Dianne (Varnes) Wilhelm, age 71, passed away June 29, 2021 at The Bellevue Hospital. Dianne was born August 17, 1949 in Bellevue.

Dianne grew up in West Lodi, south of Bellevue, with her parents, Donald and Marjorie Varnes and the late Robert Brown. She graduated from Thompson High School in 1967 and from the Sandusky School of Practical Nursing in 1968. She was employed by Mercy Hospital of Tiffin, Autumnwood Care Center of Tiffin, Heartland Home Health Care, and Bethesda Care Center in Fremont as an LPN.

Dianne married Thomas Wilhelm on July 5, 1991 in Tiffin; He precedes her in death. They were made for each other. Tom and Dianne loved to ride motorcycles, enjoyed yard work, and making their Green Springs home beautiful. They had many dogs through the years, but none so close to the heart as “Sissy,” who rode in a stroller at many parades and flea markets. Dianne was not shy about sharing her thoughts and was a fun-loving, charismatic person.

Dianne is survived by her children: Rebecca (Covert) Myers, and James (Shari) Covert, Jr; siblings: Dennis (Becky) Brown, Barbara Hendrix, and Linda (Jeff) Hoover; step-children: Guy Myers, Todd Myers, Crystal (James) Kinney, Andy Myers, Tony Myers, Amanda (Chris) Rouse, and Wade Myers; grandchildren: Zachary (Daina) Myers, Kaitlin (Jacob) Purdham, Ashleigh and James Covert III; great-grandchildren: Emilia Purdham, Caden Myers, Raelynn Schell, Skylar Garza, and Theo Garza; and niece, Tammie (Tonya) Wilhelm.

Friends will be received Monday, July 5, 2021, from 10am until a funeral service beginning at 12pm, noon, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
