Loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend passed away Saturday April 4, 2026, at the age of 85 years.

Bob was born on June 18, 1940, in Bellevue, Ohio, the son of the late Frank L. Wing and Vera V. (Jones) Wing. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a plank owner of the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier. He later went on to a career as a chemical engineer in Grand Rapids, MI at Leon Plastics and Vi-Chem. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and Royal Order of Arch Masons. He was a voracious reader and found joy in golf, fishing, playing cards, and traveling the world. Bob especially treasured time spent with his family and friends.

Surviving are his children, Elizabeth Wing, Thomas Wing and Matthew Wing; Dixie (Brad) Balderstone; grandchildren, Tyler Balderstone, Abbe (Andrew) Danilowicz, and Madison Balderstone; great-grandchild, Josephine Danilowicz; a brother Richard (Donna) Wing, and a brother-in-law James Ruess.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Shirley Peer-Wing, sister Jeannette Ruess.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday April 10, 2026, at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors 201 N. Miller Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral on Friday from 10:00a.m. until the time of the funeral service. lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Bob’s memory.
