He was a lifelong member of Ducks Unlimited and Four County Conservation Club, along with being a member of Eagles Aerie 490. Bob was an avid Cleveland Sports fan especially the Cavs and Indians. Bob also spent numerous years coaching his children in the Bellevue Little League. At home, Bob loved to host friends and family showing off his cooking skills, whether it was wild game, or grilling, Bob had a secret recipe to make it his own.
Bob married his loving wife Lori D. (Morton) Orwig on September 29, 1989 at St. Paul’s UCC in Bellevue. She survives along with their 6 sons: Jason (Kynni) Orwig, Ryan Orwig, Derek (Kristen) Sloan, Robby Orwig, Dustin Sloan, and Dylan (Katie) Orwig; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers: William (Georgia) Orwig and Jeffrey Orwig; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
