Robert Spencer Obituary

Robert D. Spencer, age 61 of Clyde, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his home. Robert was born July 5, 1960, in Allen, Kentucky, the son of the late Bobby Joe and Lula Mae (McCoy) Spencer.

Robert worked for many years at the Fremont Plastics Group and more recently at Artiflex. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sportscars, in particular his Camaro. Most of all, Robert loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His tough exterior was no match for his giant heart. He always put his family first and made everyone feel so protected.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda (Steinbauer) Spencer of Clyde; son, Robert James (Abbey) Spencer; grandchildren: Alyssa, Mason, and Charlee Spencer; great-grandson: Atticus; and siblings: Steven (Tracy) Spencer of Louisville, KY, Linda (Justin) Labenne of Clyde, Brian (Christy) Spencer of Fremont, and Amanda (Dan) Asbury of Clyde.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Joe Spencer, and sister, Tammy Elizabeth Collier.

Services for Robert will be held privately.
