Obituary

Robert Skiles, 77, of Bellevue passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at The Willows at Bellevue.  He was born June 11, 1945 in Bellevue the son of Glenn Skiles and Phyllis Swartz.

Bob served in the Army Reserves and was employed by the France Stone Quarry for 42 years where he worked as a foreman.  He was the ultimate thrill-seeker; He loved a good adventure and enjoyed boating, go-karts, motorcycles, and loved the tractor pull especially when he could take his grandchildren.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling.  Most of all, Bob loved his family and spending time with them.

He married Linda Emery on September 30, 1967 in Bellevue; She survives along with their daughter, Cindy Skiles of Bellevue; 2 grandchildren: Hannah (Kyle) Austin and Caleb Stover, both of Bellevue; great grandson, Maverick Austin; siblings, Paul (Rick) Skiles, Matt Skiles, and Wendy (Mark) David; and sister-in-law, Nola Skiles.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Timothy Skiles and David Skiles; and his aunt, Margery Aigler.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 2 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 4 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
