Robert E. Gray, Jr.

Robert Eugene Gray, Jr., age 65, originally from Clyde, OH, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, OH. Robert was born on October 18, 1960, in Fremont, OH, the son of the late Robert Eugene Gray, Sr. and Sylvia Ann (Greene) Gray. 

Robert was employed at Whirlpool in Clyde where he worked for over 30 years. Robert had a huge heart and was always thinking of others. Family was everything to him. He loved all sports and was a devoted fan of Cleveland sports, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and NASCAR racing. He could talk about sports for hours. He loved watching his westerns, his favorite shows Moonshiners, Cabin Masters, and Diners, Drive Inns, and Dives, as he was a lover of all foods and loved to cook. He loved his children and grandchildren and was so proud of them. Despite his body failing his love and pride never waivered. We will miss him dearly. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Pam (Cisco) Gray; son, Chad (Deserae) Gray of Shelby; daughter, Torri (Wesley) Reineck of Norwalk; adopted daughter, Trenade Thompson Gray of Fremont; step-daughters: Trena Robinson, Tara Thompson, and Tala Thompson all of Fremont; grandchildren: Kaelin, Austin, Sydney, Eian, Lilly, Brody, Brennan, Zachariah, Rylan, and Raylee; brother, James (Barbara) Gray of Fremont, OH; sisters: Pamela Caudill of Clyde, Jackie (Tim) Hoppe of Green Springs, and Janet (Jesse) Garcia of Sunbury, OH; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. 

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his adopted son, Ryan Thompson Gray, and brother-in-law, Harrison Dale Caudill. 

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 4:00-7:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A memorial service will be held on the following day, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:00am at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial to follow at McPherson Cemetery.

Everyone is invited by the family to wear their Ohio State or Cleveland sports apparel to Robert's services.
