Richard Oddo

Richard Oddo, 81, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at The Bellevue Hospital.  He was born December 4, 1940 in Bellevue the son of Charles J. and Mary Grace (Battista) Oddo.

Dick was a graduate of Bellevue High School.  He served in the United States Navy from 1958-1964.  An electrician by trade, he was employed by General Motors where he worked in organizational development and human resources until his retirement in 2000.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue, the former Club AmerItal, the UAW, VFW Post 1238, and American Legion Post 46.  He also served as a CYO football and basketball coach.

He married Sherron Wybensinger on September 1, 1962; She survives along with their 5 children: Greg (Kathy Ordway) Oddo of Bellevue, Roger (Cora Higgins) Oddo of Sandusky, Richard (Cherie) Oddo Jr. of Bellevue, Angela (Jonathan) Natole of Bellevue, and Matthew (Mary) Oddo of Perrysburg; and 10 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his sister Rosemarie Oddo and brothers: Carl, Jim, Chuck, Sam and Bill Oddo.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Foos and Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  A funeral Mass will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
