Richard Hanes Obituary
Richard James Hanes 89 of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. Mr. Hanes was born April 8, 1929 in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania; son of the late Arthur F. and Alma Snyder Hanes.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW. He later retired from the Ford Motor Company after 35 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Margaret Snodgrass Hanes, their three daughters, Beth A. Jurczyk and her husband Chris of Phenix City, AL, Linda S. Reeves of Phoenix, AZ and Laura Miller and her Fiance' David Setzler of Olmsted Falls, OH. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Bonnie Heath, Amy Dawley, Sarah Roberts, Tina Moshbrucker, Jaime Reeves, Kassi Sreerama, Ryan Miller, Kyle Miller and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sep. 21, 11:00 am in Bellevue Cemetery.
