Richard “Dick” G. Farrar, age 70 of Clyde, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at his home. Dick was born November 20, 1950 in Bellevue, the son of the late Clayton and Ruth Ann (Tiffany) Farrar.
Dick had immense pride for his service in the US Army 1970-1972. He never failed to thank other military for their service to our country.
Dick impacted many young people through his time as a football and baseball coach, educator at CHS South Campus and CHS golf coach. His love for young athletes and students was evident as he was quick to praise, honor and encourage them towards being their best. Being an avid sports fan, he loved the Browns, the Indians, the Buckeyes and the beloved Clyde Flier.
He was a fun-loving family man who had the ability to make people laugh. He had a way of making everyone feel loved and special. He loved hard and wasn’t ashamed of showing his emotions.
As he grew in his faith, he knew that God was with him during his health crisis. He put his faith in Christ and Christ alone which brought purpose and help during times of suffering.
In addition to working at CHS, Dick previously worked at Whirlpool, owned Clyde Video, and sold real estate. A life well spent, he impacted many in the community and will be leaving quite a legacy for both family and friends.
