Rebecca A. (Rodriguez) Mooney

Rebecca A. Mooney, age 56 of Fremont, was welcomed into heaven on May 22, 2021 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky with her loving family by her side. Rebecca was born April 9, 1965 in Bellevue, the daughter of the late Jose G. and Virginia M. (Moreno) Rodriguez.

Rebecca was a devoted wife to Jeff of 34 years & loving mother to her 4 children. A Native of Clyde. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1984. Rebecca retired from Whirlpool after 17 years working on the assembly line. She had a unique and special bond with each of her 7 grandkids. They were her heart and joy. She loved her flowers, painting, swimming, and traveling. Rebecca was a Breast Cancer Survivor! She exemplified courage and perseverance throughout her fight with cancer. Even through being blindsided by the diagnosis, she never let the cancer devour her. It ignited something powerful in her. An unwavering desire to survive for those she loved. She was KIND & welcoming to every person she encountered & never met a stranger. She kept those around her laughing and had a heart for connecting with others. She will be remembered for her warm personality & joyful spirit.  

Your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words & missed beyond measure. 

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Mooney of Fremont, whom she married January 10, 1987 in Clyde; 4 children: Robert (Kylie) Mooney of Fremont, Jennifer (Jason) Voigt of Toledo, Andrea (Robbie Heberling) Mooney of Fremont, and Christopher Mooney of Michigan; 7 grandchildren: Aria and Vada Mooney, Elliot Voigt, Isabella Gonzales, Audrey, Jordyn and Penelope Heberling; and 6 siblings: Christopher Rodriguez, Margaret Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Regina Ransom, Vincent Rodriguez, and Gregory Rodriguez. 

In addition to her parents, Rebecca is preceded in death by her siblings: Phillip Rodriguez, Tony Rodriguez, Diana Goehring, and Stephen Rodriguez.

Friends will be received Friday, May 28, 2021 from 1-4 & 6-8pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11am also at the funeral home. Masks will be required in order to attend. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Clyde.
