Raelene S. Colvin (Tea), age 76 of Castalia, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Bellevue Hospital. Raelene was born September 12, 1945 in Sandusky, the daughter of the late Ruth Darlene Tea (Wooten).
Raelene was married to her high school sweetheart for over 57 years. She dedicated her life to her husband and family; raising three sons, four grandchildren and countless others that she claimed as her own. All were welcomed in her home. As the family matriarch, she was the glue that brought everyone together. She loved to cook, and no one would go home hungry if she had her way.
She had a beautiful, kind, caring and lively spirit and never missed an opportunity to laugh. Spending time with her family reminiscing and laughing was her favorite way to spend her time. She loved her animals. No stray was turned away. Raelene had the biggest heart and made an impact on all who knew her. Her vibrant personality and laugh will be greatly missed.
Raelene is survived by her husband, James Colvin, Sr; sons: Jim Colvin, Jr. of Fremont, Jason (Steve Henry) Colvin of Palm Springs, CA, and Jeremy (Jen) Colvin of Bellevue; grandchildren: Jesse (Kyle) Barnett, Jimbo (Taylor) Colvin, Skylar Colvin, and Cheyenne Colvin; great-grandson, James Colvin IV; a great-granddaughter expected soon; sister, Jean (Gerry) Verhoff of Sandusky; and nieces and nephews, Tiffany Ramon-Chappell, Kathy (Bruce) Ruffing, Veronica (David) Doucette, Matt (Chicky) Verhoff, and Ty (Connie) Ramon.
In addition to her mother, Raelene is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Ollie Wooten, brother, Ed Palmer; sister, Diane Ramon; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Colvin.
Friends will be received Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00am.
