Paula J. (Smith) Stiger

Paula J. Stiger, age 81 of Clyde, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her home. Paula was born February 17, 1940 in Fremont, the daughter of the late David and Vivian (Cunningham) Smith.

Paula was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clyde and drove school bus for Old Fort Local Schools for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. At church she was involved in many activities such as Sunday School and the Christmas Program. She loved to volunteer and did so often with many different organizations, such as the Clyde Food Pantry, The Salvation Army and Relay for Life, to name a few. She also enjoyed quilting, and would often donate her quilts to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Paula is survived by her children: Dan (Susan) Lippert of Atlanta, GA, Randy (Lisa) Lippert of Green Springs, and Jodi Noble of Atlanta, GA; step-children: Michael Stiger of Old Fort, Dena (Thomas) Hull of Bettsville, and Cynthia (Jeff) Schuller of Monroeville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  Surviving siblings include Jackie Zimmerman of Arizona, Norwood “Bud” (Gege) Smith of Clyde, Robert Smith of Colorado, and Jerry (Diane) Smith of Arizona.

In addition to her parents, Paula is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Stiger Jr; Ex-husband, John “Jack" Lippert; sister, Sue Rohrbach; brothers-in-law: William “Bill" Zimmerman and William “Bill" Rohrbach; and sister-in-Law Sharon Smith.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00am at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Following the service, visitation will be held until a luncheon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 147 W Forest St, Clyde, OH 43410, at 1:00pm. A private interment will take place at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.
