Paula J. (Rosen) Gill

Paula J. Gill, age 76 of Clyde, OH, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at her home. Paula was born May 24, 1949 in Fremont, OH, the daughter of Edwin and Betty (Watruba) Rosen.

Paula lived a life filled with energy, care, and a deep devotion to the people she loved. She was happiest when cooking for what seemed like “a whole army,” tending to her garden, or decorating, especially at Christmas, when every corner of her home glowed with her touch. She and her husband, Jerry, shared countless adventures together, from camping at Tall Timbers and Shrock’s to years of boating all over, but for many years at Lakevue Marina in Lakeside Marblehead. She loved being out on the water, water skiing, scuba diving, and simply enjoying the sunshine and the company of her husband.

Paula was a lifelong learner and a determined spirit. During their early years together, she picked up classes at each base where Jerry was stationed during his service in the United States Air Force so she could continue her education. That drive carried into her career, where she worked her way from secretary to senior manager at Whirlpool and ultimately became the Head of Human Resources for all of North America. She even weathered Hurricane Camille in 1969 with Jerry while they were stationed in Mississippi, a testament to her strength and resilience.

Above all, Paula was a caregiver at heart. She cared deeply for her family and friends, always putting others first. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and her family meant everything to her. Paula’s warmth, generosity, and steadfast love are the legacy she leaves behind.

Paula is survived by her husband, Jerry Gill, whom she married August 10, 1968, in Clyde; children: Jeff (Amy) Gill of Clyde and Shanna (Aaron) Wilson of Clyde; and grandchildren: Brady, Brennan, and Breck Wilson, Marissa, Jacob, and Gavin Gill.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00am, also at the funeral home.
