Patricia Ann Cooksey

Patricia Ann Cooksey, 87, passed away in her home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, entering the gates of Heaven to be with Jesus and her family and friends who have gone on before her.

Patricia was born on May 6, 1937, to Hobert and Minnie Workman in Columbus, OH. She spent much of her growing up years living in Fallsburg, KY.

In her younger, healthier years, Patricia was dedicated to attending church. She liked to listen to gospel music and continued to sing along with it in her days. She was always a hard worker and was eager to serve others. She enjoyed working as a nurse, caring for others during her career of 40 years.

Patricia married Estill Cooksey whom she adored every day of their 68 years together.

Patricia is survived by her husband; one son, Jerry (Joyce) Cooksey; and one daughter, Janice (Jeff) Geary. She loved being Grandma to Ryan (Chelsea) Geary and Kyle (Marley) Geary. Her brothers include Charles (Opal) Workman of Athens, AL, and Jim Workman of South Branch, MI. Patricia also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Patricia is preceded in death and now reunited with her parents; one brother, Donald Workman; and three grandchildren.

Patricia’s family would like to thank Dr. Ben Ball, Stein Hospice, and her special friend, Leah, for all they did to help with her care during recent months.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 1p.m. until a funeral service begins at 3 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, OH.
