Pastor Roger Allen Rollins, Sr., age 72 of Fremont, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH. Roger was born January 27, 1953, in Sawyer, KY, the son of the late Robert and Lucy (Vanover) Rollins.
Roger retired from Lowe’s as a tandem truck driver. He was an avid hunter enjoying both deer and rabbit hunting. He loved his wife and spending time with his family. His greatest love and passion was serving the Lord as he pastored the Missionary Baptist Church in Bellevue for nine years and the First Freewill Baptist Church in Clyde for twelve years. Roger was always witnessing as he shared the Lord with everyone he met. He will be missed by many whose lives he touched.
Roger is survived by his wife, Ruth (Parks) Rollins of Fremont; sons: Roger Allen (Liz) Rollins, Jr. of Science Hill, KY, Mark Anthony Rollins of Oregon, OH, Daniel Aaron (Corin) Rollins of Science Hill, KY, and Michael Andrew (Natalie) Rollins of Colorado Springs, CO; step-sons: Tracy Allen (Jackie) Keegan of Bucyrus, Scotty Wayne Keegan of Daufuskie Island, SC, and Chad Lynn (Theresa) Keegan of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren: K.D., Mark, Aaron, Olivia, Jaylen, Michael Jr., Tasha, Amber, Damian, Skye, Chelsea, Taylor, Kyle, and Devin; great-grandchildren: Shiloh, Jennasis, Roger, Jayci, Kendall, Angela, Mackenzie, Sierra, Murrel, Archer, Connor, Maelee; and siblings: Harold (Shirley) Rollins and Wanda (Pete) Perry, both of Parkers Lake, KY.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy (Wilson) Rollins; and siblings: Dean Rollins, Jim Rollins, Ned Rollins, Pearlie Dorene Ohler, Mary Zeller, Daryl Rollins, Norm Rollins, Ames Rollins, and Dale Rollins.
In Ohio, friends will be received on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:00am until a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Clyde, 929 North Main Street, Clyde, OH 43410.
In Kentucky, friends will be received on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 12:00pm until a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm at McCreary County Funeral Home, 48 W Hwy 700, Whitley City, KY 42653. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery, McCreary County, KY.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Roger to the First Freewill Baptist Church in Clyde or to the American Heart Association.
