Oral Max Wright, age 86, of Clyde, OH, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Bellevue Care Center in Bellevue, OH. Max was born February 24, 1939, in Newton West Virginia, the son of the late George and Bertha (Harold) Wright.
After high school, Max enlisted in the US Army and National Guard where he was stationed in Alaska. On March 9th, 1963 he married Patsy Lou Hall in Roane County, West Virginia. They had two children and two grandchildren. He was a long time employee of Ford Motor Company and retired with them after forty years. Max was an avid animal lover, spent time woodworking, gardening, and taking scenic motorcycle rides throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting as well. For many years, Max also sang in the southern gospel group, The Fishermen Quartet, alongside dear friends. He saw much of the country during his time traveling with The Fishermen. Max was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and always put others first.
Max is survived by his wife, Patsy (Hall) Wright; son, Kevin Wright; and grandchildren: Brittany (T.J.) Barney and Jacob (Alyssa) Reardon.
In addition to his parents, Max is preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia D. Reardon, and his siblings: Rose Tawney and Paul Wright.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 1:00pm until a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
