Norma J. (Halsey) Lairson

Norma J. Lairson, age 91 of Clyde, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at her home. Norma was born March 29, 1931, in Cass County, IN, the daughter of the late James Halsey and Eva Tucker (Winslow).

Norma loved travelling, playing scrabble, crocheting, sausage & gravy, listening to spiritual hymns, spending time with her family, and laughing. And almost as much as she loved all of those things, she despised rice, pasta, leftovers, roundabouts, and paid coffee refills.

Norma is survived by her children: Brenda (Jerry) White of Lafayette, IN, Eva Peak of Clyde, Brent Lairson of Clyde, and James Lairson of Fremont; grandchildren: Brandon (Ju) Held, Brea (Josh) Held, R.J. (Brandi) Peak, Brooke (Mike) Smith, Tasha (Chad) Snyder, Derric (Ashley) Stull, Spencer (Abby) White, Chris (Tami) White, and Preston (Kayleigh) Lairson; great-grandchildren: Nekah, Trey, Isabella, and Mia Snyder, Savannah, Charleston, and Wilder Stull, Sidnee Estep, Laurynn Peak, Brenenn Peak, Bradyn Carnahan, Toryn Carnahan, Andrea Stockmaster, Ethan, Maximus, and Bexton Held and Ariya Wurzel; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In Addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Eugene Lairson, whom she married in June of 1949 in Kentucky; sons: Russell and Jesse Lairson; grandson, Noah Stockmaster; and siblings: Gloria, Esther, Ron, and Roy.

Friends will be received on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 12-4pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410.

Norma’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the DaVita staff in Fremont for their care and making Norma feel special. They would also like to thank all of the nieces and nephews who kept in close contact with Norma, making her feel very loved. And lastly, Norma looked forward to and loved getting her hair done every week. Thank you, Peggy.
