Nila Censi

Nila Censi, 86, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Bellevue Care Center.  She was born October 13, 1936 in Fremont, Ohio the daughter of Loren and Doris (Shively) Diehr.

Nila married Almerico (Rico) Censi on May 17, 1958 in Fremont; He preceded her in death in 2015.  In her younger years, Nila babysat for many families in Bellevue.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and an avid supporter of the Bellevue Redmen.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Sherry) Censi of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; daughter, Kim Censi of Bellevue; grandson, Nate Censi; niece and nephew: Janet Scagnetti and David Scagnetti; sister-in-law, Brenda (Yarger) Dieher; nephews: David, Kevin, Dustin and Erik Diehr; and good friends, Chuck and Cindy Kudro and family, Diana Bolen, and Bertha Eisenhauer.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nila is preceded in death by her brother, John Diehr; nephew, Bob Diehr; and sister-in-law, Alda Scagnetti.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky of the Humane Societies of Sandusky, Huron, or Erie counties.
