Nicholas R. Tea

Nicholas R. Tea, age 34 of Clyde, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. Nicholas was born August 7, 1987, in Sandusky, the son of Dale Jr. and Holly (Streeter) Tea.

For anyone who knew the real Nick, consider yourself lucky. He was a kind spirit who always put people ahead of himself and cared deeply and loved without judgement. If only one word could be used to describe Nick, most everyone would agree with easy-going.

He liked spending time playing or watching basketball, golfing, the races, the beach, and supporting the Clyde Fliers. Nick was fortunate enough to do lots of traveling, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

He had such worldly knowledge and loved a good debate about politics and other current events. There were many positive traits that described Nick, and one of the biggest was his sense of caring for all people. His affection for kids was pretty obvious, especially with his niece, Mila, who really adored her Uncle Nick.

He generously shared his time with his parents and loved hanging out with them. He had a real love for his family. The world is a bit more empty without Nick Tea.

Don’t hate the addict, hate the disease. Don’t hate the person, hate the behavior. If it’s hard to watch it, imagine how hard it must be to live it.

In addition to his parents, Nicholas is survived by his brothers: Logan Tea of Surfside, SC, and Nathan (Katie) Tea of Clyde; Niece, Mila Tea of Clyde; maternal grandmother, Connie Smith of Fremont; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dale Sr. and Patricia Tea, and maternal grandfather, Robert Streeter.

Friends will be received Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 3-7pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 11am at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH 43420.

Memorial donations may be made in Nicholas’ honor to the Nick Tea Clyde Boys Basketball Scholarship, 1015 Race Street, Clyde, Ohio 43410.
