Nellie S. (Ratliff) Leibold

Nellie S. Leibold, age 85 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH. Nellie was born February 7, 1939, in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of the late Ransom and Sofia Ratliff.

Nellie enjoyed gardening in her flowers, fishing, and listening to the rain fall. She loved baking cakes and pies which she would gift to her neighbors and sister, Dorothy. She loved her kids, siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a very feisty woman, but had a huge loving heart.

Nellie is survived by her daughters: Gail (Drake Johnson) Leibold of Fremont, and Rhonda (Kirk) Kiser of Burgoon, OH; grandchildren: Rachel Walters, James Johnson, and Timothy Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Howard Ratliff of Fremont, Dorothy Campbell of Middleburg Heights, OH, John B. Ratliff of Tiffin, and Louise Estep of Apple City, MO.

In addition to her parents, Nellie is preceded in death by her son, James Leibold, and granddaughter, Heather Johnson.

Services for Nellie will be held privately.
