Mona Rodriguez

Mona Rodriguez, 91, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Bellevue Care Center.  She was born August 18, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Mitchell and Ruth (Wahler) Peters. Mona married Felipe C. Rodriguez on July 9, 1988 in Williamsburg, Kentucky.  He preceded her in death in 2011.

Mona was a member of the Bellevue Church of Christ.  She worked as a store manager for Grant’s Department Store in Middletown and Bellevue, Ohio.  She was the owner of the former Candy Palace in Bellevue.  After retiring, she enjoyed making candy for friends in her home.

She is survived by her three grandchildren: Andrea Klausing of Norwalk, Joseph Ferguson of West Chester, Ohio, and Joyel Bryant of Kentucky; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Ronald Peters of Montgomery, TX; and seven nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband; Mona is preceded in death by her daughters, Vickie Zickefoose and Glenda Sue Bryant; grandson, Timothy J. Ferguson; and brother, Roy A. Peters

Friends will be received on Monday, January 24 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  Burial services will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
