Mike Martin

Mike (Marty) Martin, age 61, of Bellevue passed away Monday August 2, 2021 at Continuing Care Nursing Center, Toledo, Ohio, battling bladder cancer, MRSA Sepsis, and the demon addiction.  He was born June 19, 1960 in Bellevue the son of the late Werner “Wernie” & Mary Ann (Lavey) Martin.

Mike loved people, he spent his career as a Sales Representative for multiple companies, but his expertise was making people laugh and he easily connected and made them not just friends but part of his extended family.  To Mike, family was everything!  Caring for his mom through her battle with Alzheimer’s, to caring his dad, Mike was always there and bringing the love and the laughs.  But it didn’t end there, Mike was available for all his extended friends and family.

Mike was an avid athlete.  He loved to golf, especially with his dad and brothers.  Was an active basketball referee, and could talk sports and betting with the best of them.  Mike loved riding his Harley, tie dye, bandanas and sunglasses.  Mike had a knack to bringing the fun to any situation, and will be missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia Bickhart, brothers, James & (Dee Ann) Martin and Thomas (Gaye) Martin.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother David Martin.

Friends will be received, Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with celebration of life ceremony beginning at 8:30 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  Burial will be at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10 am
