Michael Vollmar, 82, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at The Bellevue Hospital. He was born December 14, 1942 in Bellevue the son of Roe and Eva (Halbeisen) Vollmar.
Mike served in the United States Navy spending time abroad and stationed in Italy. He operated Vollmar Farms, as well as working as a technician for GTE for 30 years. He loved model trains, and helped begin the Monroeville Model Train Group. He liked going to flea markets and keeping up with his lawn.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Weaver) whom he married March 3, 1990 at the First Church of God in Fremont; children: Laura (John) Fulkert, Jane (John) Hoffman, and Hans (Lori) Raifsnider; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers: Donald (Mary Pat) Vollmar and Mark (Kelly) Vollmar; and sisters: Bobbie (Don) Schaeffer, Sharon Meyer, Dawn (Michael) Grone, Rachael (Robert) Hazelbaker, and Maribeth (Mike) Langford.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings: Carolyn Vollmar, Janice Strickland, Nancy Huth, and Alice Seville; and son, Robert.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4-6 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin on Friday at 11am at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church, 16209 East CR 46, Bellevue, Ohio 44811. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
