Michael Strausbaugh

Michael Strausbaugh, age 56 of Clyde, the man who devoted his life to his family and loved them so deeply, took his final breath on Tuesday October 12, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his wife and children. Born October 14, 1964, in Sandusky the son of Dallas Strausbaugh and Patti Wott (Moyer). 

Our husband, father, papa, and friend will be remembered most for the never-ending love, support, life advice he always gave, and the party that followed him wherever he went. 

A 1983 graduate of Clyde High School married his beautiful wife on June 25, 1983, and proudly served in the United States Army for 4 years. 

Mike enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and Detroit Tigers baseball, but most importantly supporting and causing trouble with his 3 “do no wrong” grandchildren. He worked tirelessly to make sure his children could have a life that outshined his. His grandchildren were the luckiest because they had the best papa in the world, he made sure that they knew they were everything to him with constant “I was just missing you” calls while he was working. 

The man, the myth, the legend, will forever be in our hearts and we will honor his name by continuing to live a life of focusing on the little things and being “papa tough.”

He is survived by his wife, Betty Strausbaugh (Rider) of Clyde; Children: Kevin (Carrie) Strausbaugh of Gibsonburg, Kaila (Chad Lindsay) Strausbaugh of Fremont; and Grandchildren: Keegan Strausbaugh, Cameron Strausbaugh, and Madi Grace Lindsay; and sister, Diana Strausbaugh of Green Springs.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law: Sandy and Eddie Lee; sister-in-law Robin Crawford; and brother-in-law Corby Blanton.

Friends will be received Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 12-2pm & 5-7pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:00am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Green Springs Cemetery.
