Michael M. “Skinny” Souslin, 76, of Norwalk, was called home on Tuesday January 6th, 2026.
He was born September 28, 1949, in Norwalk Ohio and was a 1967 graduate of Edison High School. He enlisted in the army in 1969 for 2 years active duty, followed by many years of working construction with Erie Blacktop and was a long-standing member of the Local 480 Laborer’s Union. He enjoyed playing basketball, and volleyball for C. Mann Builders with his brothers and friends and was an avid sports fan, forever rooting for the Browns. He was a loving father that cared deeply for his children and a devoted husband. He was known by many and loved by all.
He is survived by his children Kristen Ferrell, Zachary Souslin and Michael Souslin and grandchildren Joey Mae and Haley Phillips, siblings Paul W. (Gladys) Souslin of Berlin Heights, Gary E. Souslin of Rockwall Texas, Alice J. (Mann) Hillman of Norwalk, and Joseph C. Mann of Norwalk.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene (Geiss) Souslin; mother Lois (Winkler) Mann, father, Paul W. Souslin; his brother and his wife, Richard J. and Ellen K. Souslin, his brother Tom Souslin and brother Terry Souslin; stepfather, Cecil J. Mann; nephews, Richard J. Souslin Jr., Samuel L. Souslin, Paul W. Souslin and Ryan M. Mann.
His ashes (along with his wife) will be buried later in the spring, along with a celebration of life held by family. Foos and Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is assisting with arrangements.
Donations may be made directly to Zachary Souslin at Firelands Federal Credit Union, in memory of his father, to be used by his sons for expenses.
