Michael J. Kennedy

Michael J. Kennedy, age 78 of Clyde, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue, OH. Mike was born October 1, 1945, in Norwalk, the son of the late Frank J. and Ruth E. (Penick) Kennedy.

Mike graduated from Norwalk High School in 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1965.  He was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life retiring from Norwalk Furniture Corporation in 2008. Mike loved to golf and had a hole-in-one on #7 at Green Hills Golf Course. He loved to spend time laughing with his family, friends and kicking back with a few adult beverages. He was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jeannine (DeWalt) Kennedy; daughter: Michele (Randy) Lemery of FL; Step-sons: Kevin (Brittany) Gressman of Clyde and Max (Mia) Gressman of TX;  grandchildren: Aiden Gressman, Jordan Gill, and Garrett Lemery; great-grandchildren: Zayn and Charli Gill; sisters: Dianne (Walter) Schubert, Laura (James) Draper, and Pat (Joe) Bader; brothers-in-law: John (Dawn) DeWalt and Sam (Marilyn) DeWalt; and many nieces and nephews. Mike is also survived by his furry four-legged baby girl Sophie who will miss Daddy terribly.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Kennedy. 

Services will be held privately.
