Melissa Drown, 45, of Perrysburg passed away unexpectedly from a medical condition on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at her home. She was born September 11, 1979 in Sandusky, Ohio the daughter of Scott Drown and Cheryl (Hassinger) Alt.
Melissa was a 1998 graduate of Bellevue High School. After graduation she attended the University of Toledo and Lincoln College of Technology. She worked as a Grade 5-12 Student Case Manager at the Horizon Science Academy in Toledo.
Melissa possessed a radiant spirit and a contagious laugh that brightened every room she entered. Her fun-loving personality and unwavering kindness left an enduring impression on all who knew her. She lived life to the fullest, finding joy in listening to music and comedy. Above all, she cherished her family and friends, offering unconditional love and unwavering support, especially to her beloved nephews.
She is survived by her father, Scott (Karen) Drown; mother, Cheryl (Ron) Alt; brothers: Mike Drown and Brad (Emily) Drown; nephews: Jayden Drown, Bentley Drown, and Matthew Drown; numerous aunts and uncles; and her beloved dog and best friend “Otis”.
Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents: Glen & Alice Hassinger and Larry & Kay Drown; and uncle, Thomas Berberick.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue. A luncheon will follow at the Church.
Memorials may be made to the Wood County Humane Society or Immaculate Conception School.
