Mary Helen (Simons) Richards

Mary Helen Richards, 88, of Bellevue passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was born August 31, 1933, in Wabash, Indiana the daughter of Charles and Charlotte (Thomas) Simons. 

Mary married Donald Eugene Richards on June 15, 1952; They were married for 70 years.  Together they moved to the Bellevue area in 1964.  They were members of the Clyde Christian Church and the last several years members of Bellevue Four County Young-at-Heart.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, crafts, reading and playing cards.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Richards of Bellevue; 2 daughters: Cindi (Brad) Trudeau of Carrollton, Texas and Katherine Rife of Fremont, Ohio; a son, David Richards of Hobbs, New Mexico; grandchildren: Tiffany Downing of Collins, Ohio, Jamie (Matt) Karr of Georgetown, Indiana, and Gage Rife of LaGrange, Georgia; 6 great grandchildren: Sydney Schuster, Wyatt and Simon Downing, Accalia and Raelynn Karr, and Payton Rife.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Max E. Simons and Charles R. Simons.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service where additional calling will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. until a funeral service officiated by Pastor Charles Butcher begins at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
