Mary Gibson, 88, of Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born on August 21, 1937, in Marion, Ohio, to Howard and Dorothy (Southward) Saunders.
On November 22, 1958, Mary married Eugene “Gibby” Gibson in Bellevue; he preceded her in death in 2008.
Mary was a dedicated mother and grandmother, always supporting her family in their endeavors. She was a member of the Bellevue Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, TOPS Club, and the Mothers of Twins Club. She also enjoyed traveling and playing dartball at the Bellevue Eagles for many years.
Mary is survived by her children: sons, Keith Gibson of Bellevue and Kelly Gibson of Mentor, Ohio; daughters, Debra (John) Linkenhoker of Bellevue and Kathee (Stephen) Bruno of Tiffin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Nicholas Linkenhoker, Molly Klodor, Corey Gibson, Krista DeBlase, Courtney Minnich, Lucas Gibson, Jenna Gibson, Lydia Bruno, and Dominic Bruno; and six great-grandchildren: Helen Linkenhoker, Mark DeBlase, Thomas DeBlase, Theodore DeBlase, James Minnich, and Josephine Minnich. Her surviving siblings include brothers, Mike Saunders of Albert Lea, MN, Joe (Gill) Saunders of Fremont, and Richard (Lisa) Saunders of Wetumpka, AL; and sister, Judy Warwick of Norman, Oklahoma.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Saunders, Earl Saunders, Dave Saunders, and Virgil Saunders; and sisters, Barbara Patrick, Ellen Binkley, and Jinny Ferguson.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service will begin on Thursday at Noon at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
