Mary “Penny” (Frasure) Folk, 88, of Bellevue, OH, passed away Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at her residence. She was born January 31st, 1934 in Newberry, MI, to James and Flossie (Ellcey) Frasure.
Mary was a working artist and had paintings commissioned up to her final days. She enjoyed spending time with her large family, keeping up with their daily lives, and receiving updates on all of their activities. She spread joy to everyone she met and loved to share whatever she had with both friends and strangers alike. Mary loved reading, discussing historic events, and traveling with Don to her grandkid’s and great-grandkid’s sporting events. Lady Mary Frasure-Folk was most passionate about her involvement with the Scottish Clan Frasure Society. She served as Convenor (organizer) of the clan for the State of Ohio for many years and attended annual Highland Games to represent the clan. Mary was a devout Christian and loved to study and spread the word. Grandma Penny had an unmatchable character, an incredibly unique personality, a wild imagination, was a great storyteller, and left everyone met with a smile on their faces. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by three sons, Gary of Dublin, Virginia, Terry (Caryn) Folk of Bowling Green, OH, David (Marsha) Folk of Madison, Alabama, and one daughter, Cindy (Steve) Bickhart of Bellevue, OH. She had 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don whom she married on October 27, 1951 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Clyde, Ohio, grandson Eric, and great-granddaughter, Kiddeau.
The family will be holding a private ceremony at a later date.
Foos and Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue, is in care of arrangements.
