Mary P. (Meyer) Bollenbacher, 95, entered eternal life on January 8, 2023, while having resided at Norwalk Memorial Home, Norwalk, Ohio.
Mary was born July 9, 1927, in Marywood and was the youngest child and only daughter of Joseph A. and Louisa (Swartz) Meyer. Mary married her husband Stanley Bollenbacher on April 19, 1950 and during their union raised their ten children.
In addition to the full life of raising ten children, her married life was active as a farm wife to Stanley, who operated Bollenbacher Farms. Stanley and Mary’s family lineage grew over the years to include ten grandsons, six granddaughters, two great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, and one great-great-grandson. Grandchildren were an enormous joy for Mary. Mary also enjoyed garage sale shopping, gardening, sewing, and playing euchre, especially learning Logan Irons in how euchre best be played.
Mary is survived by her children, daughters Joann Fell, Janis (“Harry”) Slavik, Karen (Rick) Crawford, Kaye (Jim) Lucas, Susan Bollenbacher, Sharon Bollenbacher, and Patti (Gary) Rodgers; sons Tom (Judi) Bollenbacher, Gerry (Lucy) Bollenbacher, and Mike (Bonnie) Bollenbacher; by twenty-two grandchildren; by numerous nieces and nephews, and by her special cousin/friend Lois Landoll.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanley Bollenbacher in 1999; brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Dolores Meyer, Clem and Eileen Meyer, and Clarence and Margaret Meyer; brothers Philip Meyer, Sylvester Meyer, and her twin brother Marion Meyer; sister-in-law Winona Bollenbacher; grandson J.P. Lucas and nephew Joseph Meyer.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 3-7 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
Mary’s funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, 16209 East County Road 46, Bellevue, Ohio 44811. Burial will be at St. Sebastian’s Cemetery, Bismark Road, Bellevue.
