Mary Baptista

Mary Theresa Baptista, 91, of Bellevue passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, August 15, 2020 surrounded by family.  She was born Sept. 2, 1928 in Bellevue the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Cucaro) Soldano.  She married the late, Charles J. Baptista on November 16, 1949.

Mary is survived by her 9 children: Sam (Grace) Baptista, Vicki (Bob) Wood, Charles (Kim) Baptista Jr., Joe (Mary) Baptista, Sheryl (Mike) Woolsey, Michelle (Roger) Miller, Julie (Jon) Moore, Bill (Jared) Baptista, and Lisa (Tom) McPeak; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joann Soldano; brother-in-law, Sandy Nasonti; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vivian Nasonti and Julia Soldano; one brother, Edward Soldano; granddaughter, Ashley McPeak; and son-in-law, Mark Brooks.

Mary was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.  The legacy that she and her husband left behind made her exceptionally proud.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, former member of the Red Hat Society and member of the former Club Amer-Ital.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and playing bocce.

At the request of the family, private funeral services will be observed.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue are in care of arrangements.
