Marilyn Ann Oddo, 90, formerly of Bellevue passed away with her family by her side on March, 30, 2022 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Fremont, Ohio, Marilyn was the oldest daughter of Robert L. and Irma J. (Hauck) Rosenberger. She was married for 16 years and had 7 children with Charles Oddo.
As a single mother, she displayed independence and hard work. She supported her family by working at Isaly’s, Columbus Showcase, and lastly retired from Eveready Battery. Somehow she found time and energy to serve others as well by volunteering as a certified Bellevue Police Auxiliary member and belonged to the former Club Amer-Ital. The color pink and the simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She filled her time with camping, sewing, playing canasta with family and loved frequenting the library to pick up the latest novels.
Marilyn leaves behind her children Rosemarie (Dale) Moll-Weisnauer; Chuck Oddo; Joe (Patty) Oddo; Sherry (Sam) Baum; Tom (RaNae) Oddo; and Peggy (Kevin) Moses. Marilyn was further blessed by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Karen; her siblings Donald Rosenberger, Jeannie Martin, and Clarence Rosenberger; her cherished dogs, Blondie and Lucky; and former husband.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Marilyn’s name to the Bellevue Public Library and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Association.
