Margie M. (Swiney) Clevinger-Howard

Margie M. Clevinger-Howard, age 85 of Clyde, OH, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Margie was born December 7, 1938, in Praise, KY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Mullins) Swiney. 

Margie worked as a Nurse in the Clyde area for 35 years. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Clyde. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her flowers at home.

Margie is survived by her son, Michael (Kim) Clevinger of Republic, OH; daughter, Tammy McFellin of Tampa, FL; grandchildren: Amanda (Corey) Wiseman, Eric Clevinger, John McFellin, Joshua (Emily) McFellin, Jocelyn McFellin, and John Michael (Taylor) Clevinger; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dallas (Mary Catherine) Swiney of Galax, VA, Terry (Barb) Swiney of Grundy, VA, and Marvin (Lena) Swiney of Clintwood, VA; and sister, Wanda (Willy) Keene of Lebanon, VA. 

In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Arvil "Whitey" Howard whom she married June 19, 2010; son, Ronald Clevinger; brothers: Clinton, Clifford, Spencer, and Donnie Swiney; and sister, Ota Woods. 

Friends will be received on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4-7:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
