Lula M. (Lewis) Byrd

Lula M. Byrd (Lewis), age 68 of Clyde, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Parkview Care Center of Fremont. Lula was born June 30, 1953 in Floyd County, KY, the daughter of the late William and Carolye (Scalf) Lewis.

Lula was a devoted wife to her husband and a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and going on trips to visit different places. She really enjoyed going to the Marblehead Lighthouse where her and her husband would enjoy the sunrises and sunsets together. Aside from spending time with her family, Lula enjoyed collecting lighthouses, cooking with family and caring for her household plants. Her passion was her home and she loved and enjoyed it every second she could. Lula will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and all her family and friends.

Lula is survived by her sons: Christopher (Christen) Byrd of St. Robert, MO, Michael Byrd of Fremont, and Jason (Theresa) Byrd of Salyersville, KY; grandchildren: Rebecca, Diana, Logan, Cody, Brenton, Brayden, Mason, Jaxon, Colton, and another granddaughter on the way; her first great-grandchild is also expected soon; and sisters: Edna Barnard and Lola (Ronnie) Collett.

In addition to her parents, Lula is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Byrd, whom she married July 11, 1970 in Castalia. Larry passed away in 2017.

Friends will be received Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5-7pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery in Sandusky.
